Hassle-Free Holiday Sprouts

If you’re like us, your to-do list this time of year is never-ending. Between shopping for gifts and visiting relatives, there never seems to be enough hours in the day.

Alexa, at Athens Nutrition, believes that making satisfying meals over the holidays should not contribute to your stress so she’s provided us with an easy way to make delicious, hassle-free veggies with just two main ingredients.

These Brussels sprouts will perfectly accompany any dish on your holiday table. Roasting these antioxidant-rich veggies in a small amount of olive oil will help them develop a rich flavor without the excess calories found in the fried version served at many restaurants. The fruitiness of the balsamic glaze compliments the bitterness of the Brussels sprouts, and feel free to add slivered almonds or fresh herbs for added flavor and nutrients. The minimal number of ingredients in this dish means less time spent in the kitchen and more time spent with family and friends!
