About Judy

Founder, Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Culinary Nutritionist

We all want to eat well, feel good and stay healthy but our busy schedules, limited time to prepare and cook healthier meals, and confusion about diet and nutrition keep us from making changes. As a culinary nutrition expert, I work with women over 50 who want to improve their health and weight with a food-focused approach. I’ll help you organize a healthier kitchen so you’re stocked with the ingredients you need to cook fast and easy meals. No more stress around menu planning and meal prep and no more throwing away unused food at the end of the week. The recipes we use reflect the eating style of the Mediterranean, one of the healthiest in the world. If you want to shed some weight, lower your cholesterol or manage your blood sugar, I’ll guide you with food that is at the intersection of delicious, fast, and healthy!

Because most insurance plans cover nutrition counseling, there’s likely no out of pocket costs to you.

As a recipe reading, cooking obsessed, nutrition research nerd, I’m happy to do all of the leg work for you so you can cook fast and eat well.  I’ll be cooking everything in my own kitchen, snapping photos with my iPhone and sharing them with you. What I post is what my family eats. As a registered and licensed dietitian/nutritionist, I am bound by an ethical code of conduct so my nutrition advice is based on the most up-to-date, evidence-based research, not trending fads. I’ll keep my posts simple and to the point. Not a lot of fuss or food snobbery on this blog. I’ll link you to my favorite recipes from my favorite sites and I’ll share some of my own. My personal recipes are loose and easy. You can swap ingredients for ones you like and use more or less of the amounts listed in the recipe. It’s your party. What you choose to eat is your business, but as a nutritionist, I see first hand how food impacts health. If you’re already eating healthier, you’ll discover twists on familiar recipes, find new foods to try and get hot off the press, informative nutrition tips. If you know you should be eating better but not sure where to start, I’ll gently nudge you toward choosing food that is better for you. My goal is to convince you that eating well can be easy, fast and delicious.

My workdays are spent researching, counseling and lecturing on nutritional issues. At home, I’m reading cooking blogs, websites, and magazines, scouring supermarkets for interesting foods, and testing new recipes on my family. Like I said, I’m a self-confessed cooking and nutrition nerd. Even my travel destinations are centered around food and cooking. I’m here to share my passion with you and hopefully make your cooking a little healthier and a little easier.
