Light and Refreshing Summer Sips

Now that the weather is finally cooperating and we are enjoying our outdoor spaces, I thought I would continue the theme of light and refreshing summer drinks by rounding up some of my favorite cocktails.  My previous post of herbal peach iced tea is perfect for the entire family. These summer beverages are a bit stronger and meant for the 21 and overcrowd. You’ll find these cocktails to be light, refreshing, and easy to make, perfect for a casual summer BBQ or dinner on your patio.  All of these recipes call for fresh herbs so if you have some room for a few pots on your deck or have space in your garden, consider growing your own herbs. Mint, rosemary, thyme and basil are excellent additions to summer beverages. Us them as garnishes or make an herb-infused simple syrup to splash in your cocktail.
